REI KAWAKUBO/COMME DES GARÇONS: ART OF THE IN BETWEEN / NEW YORK

The Met Museum in New York City celebrates Comme des Garçons head designer, Rei Kawakubo, and her revolutionary experiments in "in-betweenness"– the space between two boundaries. In this exhibition the Costume Institute curates select archival pieces from the Japanese designer and her avant-garde style which challenges conventional notions of beauty, taste, and fashion. The exhibition features womenswear pieces from Comme des Garçons that dates back to the early 1980s all the way to her most recent collection.
