BLENDS SAN DIEGO / THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE CONCEPT

Inspired by Zen Buddhism and the concept of "Wabi-Sabi" our San Diego location on 8th and G embodies the design of a Japanese monastery. The strong emphasis on minimalism continues to encompass this store with only one shelf that wraps around the store's real-estate housing footwear, a small hang bar to house apparel, and a plexiglass box to house accessories / fragrances. Focusing on the store design and deviating away from force fed attempt to drive sales like other retailers, we wanted to give our customers a visual experience, and not just a reason to spend their hard earned money.
